You don’t need to be a homeowner to benefit from some of these household tips. The tips range from how to make homemade laundry detergent to how to purchase the proper-sized air conditioner for your room. We all like clean clothes and cool rooms in the summer.
Over the years I’ve come across some interesting articles that have helped me. As such, I want to pay it forward and share what I’ve learned with you.
Recently I combined the contents of my Above Ground Pool blog with this blog. Under the Outdoor Tips section is where I combined things. Below I’m inserting the “About” page from my pool blog so you can get an understanding as to why the section exists:
“You guessed it. This blog [the old about above ground pools blog] is about above ground pools and one person’s love/hate relationship with a 28-foot round above ground pool.
The saga all started a few years ago when I came up with the bright idea, “Wouldn’t a pool be great for the kids and their friends?” What a silly idea. I should have joined a gym instead and took the kids to the gym’s pool. From the time they dug up the yard in preparation for installing the pool, my life has never been the same.
I only started to chronicle my pool journey after a year of seriously neglecting the pool. In addition to the serious neglect, I decided to switch from Bacquacil to chlorine (the salesperson had originally convinced me that Bacquacil was better). So, after draining the pool within an inch of its life, scooping out almost a truckload of wet leaves and disrupting a thriving eco-system (we almost single-handedly tripled the frog population in the area) I’m bringing the pool back from the brink of disaster.
I’m no pool aficionado; just a person with the desire to see crystal clear water in a 28-foot round pool using chemicals that I’ve never used before. Oh, and I’m using a different filtration system too.”
